The Outcasts is a small and solid 10 Man Rading Guild. We are a level 25 guild. We are in the progress of gearing up raiders to Item level to 380 (+). As a guild we have completed all HC dungeons in CATA and downed 12/13 bosses in CATA and BH as a guild kill. We are currently 7/7 and 2/7 HC in FL. 1/8 HC in DS Guildbank is always solid 250K (+) and working for the members and the guild raid-progression.

The Outcasts of Aszune

We are a small 10 man raid guild that has come together from all parts of the server with different backgrounds. Before CATA 12/12 we did "Glory of the Icecrown Raider" as a guild and did 11/12 in ICC 10 (HC).

We believe that small, flexible and solid is the best way to face and new World of Warcraft. The Players have many good alts and many can play various roles. The same flexiblity is the main key to our succes. Many of the raiders have alts that are FL ready. Our focus is on Fireland raid, whilst doing Throne of the Four Winds, Blackwing Decsent and Bastion of Twillight on the side as a 10 man raiding guild. When progress through FL is completed and the various Item levelles are in place we will moved forward into organized raiding on HC level i Firelands. We are at 1/8 hc in DS.

Raidingday are Thursdays, Mondays and Tuesdays depending on progress and time avaliable.
Your main Char is therefore an guild asset and should be unsaved at all times.
Raiding hours are 1930 - 2230. (Invites start at 1930).
We use the ingame calendar for invites and to call out activities.
We don´t believe in top down management.
Our guild bank belongs to the members.
The bank is very solid and pays for repair during guildraids --> Output therefore depends on input.

During raid we are focused and dedicated. Raidleaders run the raid at all times.
Attiude is important to us. We don´t need players with big ego´s. We play a relaxed game in a small and respectfull community.Currently we are players (male and female) from Finland, Holland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.

We use TS3 and communicate in English at all times.

Cy ingame and take care.

Welcome to the new EPGP Loot - system. (Read this) --> currently suspended.
03/13/2011 07:30 PM by Hunterjohn

Looting:
We are using EPGP as our “DKP” system from now on, so EVERYONE will need to have "epgp" AND "epgp lootmaster" installed and active at all time.

We are using the following loot rules in The outcasts:
• Mainspec over Offspec (according to your mainspec in the guild and not on the raid unless something else have been announced)
• Offspec will be 300 Gold for our guild bank.

EPGP system and how it works

What Is EPGP?

It is a way to distribute items in 10-man instances based on a "Priority" system. When items drop, each item is given to the bidding player of proper class and spec with the highest Priority. There are no rolls and there is no DKP to "spend", although your Priority functions similarly to the way DKP does in a fixed-price system (person with the most gets the item).

EPGP means Effort Points (EP) / Gear Points (GP). EP is awarded for your actions and increases your Priority. GP is the value of the loot you've won and reduces your Priority. Your Priority is your EP divided by your GP, so when your EP goes up, your Priority goes up and when your GP goes up, your Priority goes down.

GP is the simplest part of the system. Every item's GP is calculated from its item level and slot. The EPGP Wiki explains the formula to calculate GP. The EPGP addon will show you the GP value of any item in-game so you can see the GP of your own gear, gear in AH, other player's gear, and gear that drops off bosses.

EP is awarded as "Earned EP" during raids and as "Bonus EP" for other actions you take. The types of EP awarded and their relative values are set by our officers based on guild priorities. Obviously downing bosses earns EP, however not all bosses are equal. New bosses earn more EP than farmed bosses. In order to encourage members to attempt new bosses.

How To Earn EP

Ultimately, this system is designed to reward performance and behavior conforming to guild objectives and principles. As we gain experience with the system and see how it works, we may change the EP values, types of EP awards, and possibly eliminate some.

WARNING: Do not zone out or leave a raid until EP is awarded at the end of each raid. If you leave before EP is applied, you lose them. We will apply EP manually but it is far easier, and more likely to be correct, if you simply remain in the raid.

Rewards:

Raid: 40EP per hour
First boss kill: 100EP
Second kill: 50EP
Farmed boss: 20EP

Penalties:

Leave early: -50EP (Leave a raid early while actively raiding, without prior arrangement with RL. (Can be waived for good reason.))
AFK: -50EP (AFKs for an extended period over 10 mins or without prior notice to the RL. (Can be waived for good reason.))
No-Show: -100EP (No show for raid, with no message in AFK!(forum)or telling a officer. (Can be waived for good reason.)
Not Prepared: -50EP (Missing or low gems/enchant or no flask (can add up if theres more faults) (Can be waived for good reason.))

How To Win Gear

Officers may override Priority for the good of the guild and raid progression (ex: priority to main tanks).

When a piece of gear drops in an instance, all players of the correct class and spec can select Mainspec/Offspec. The player with the highest priority wins - there will be no rolls.

Decay

You might notice that as you earn more gear, your GP could grow quite large. Even though your EP grows quickly, your Priority drops faster because your EP is divided by your large GP. So after a few pieces of gear, you might not be able to get another piece for a few months.

This is resolved by a "Decay" factor. Once a week (Wednessday before raid), your EP and GP will both be reduced by the "Decay Factor", which is currently 7%. Your Priority won't change because both EP and GP are reduced by the same proportion (EP/GP X 0.7/0.7 = EP/GP). The Decay Factor allows your new EP awards to increase your Priority faster than it would have otherwise. The Decay also provides incentive to bid on gear rather than trying to keep it high by "hording EP" because it will go down over time.
(Decay wont be used the first few weeks of raiding)

Tips

Because of the Decay factor, it is usually better to win a piece of gear than to wait for something better.

Hello there outsiders and guildies. And grazt on the basic guild progression.

Keep up the good work and progress. We will pick up on HC prgression in DS in the new year (2012).

The guild raiding-core is well geared, motivated and very flexible. Many raiders have more than 1 character that is raid-ready.

Keep up the good work--> we look good.

Take care..

John
